July 3, 2007 –Dennis Kravechenko of San Clemente captured Top Skills honors in the Pee Wee division at the Aces Got Skills Nationals, held June 22-24 at the Aviator Sports and Recreation complex in Brooklyn, New York.

Kravechenko helped earned the honor by taking the top spot in the Accuracy competition in the Pee Wee-Travel division. Other winners from Southern California included Cody Nicoll of Tustin (Pee Wee-House Accuracy), Taylor Urch of Orange (Squirt-House Shootout) and Austin Ho of Chino Hills (Pee Wee-Travel Shootout).

The 11 Southern California players earned their spot in the nationals by taking home titles in the three local competitions for Ace’s Got Skills, held in mid-November. The three competitions - November 14 at Aliso Viejo Ice Palace, November 16 at Westminster Ice Arena and November 18 at Anaheim Ice - drew 135 participants.

Ducks forwards Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry were both on hand for all three local competitions, while Getzlaf was a special guest during Sunday's awards ceremony in New York.

The Ace’s Got Skills competition is open to boys and girls ages 9-12. The competition tests skill level in five different categories: Fastest Skater, Shooting Accuracy, Hardest Shot, Shoot Out and Goaltending.

2nd Place: Ryan Ruck of Cota de Caza - total points: 78

Pee Wee-Travel Goalie:

2nd Place: David Jacobson of Calabasas - total points: 82

Squirt-House Shootout:

Winner - Taylor Urch of Orange - total points: 28

Squirt-Travel Shootout:

2nd Place: Joe Chambers of San Pedro - total points: 16
