Supported by the NHL, this grassroots, youth hockey program showcases the glory of the human spirit both on the ice and through our charitable partnership with the Ace Bailey Children's Foundation.
GOT SKILLS is the ultimate skills challenge for Squirt and Pee Wee aged (9-12) youth ice hockey players. It is a place for them to push themselves to their limits and test their skills against their peers from across the country in a variety of skills categories - fastest skater, hardest shot, shooting accuracy, shootout and best goalie. All tournaments take place in local rinks across the US. Local category winners advance to tougher competition in regional playoffs and the national finals. Garnet "Ace" Bailey played for 11 years in the NHL, winning two Stanley Cup championships with the Boston Bruins in 1970 and 1972. On September 11, 2001, Ace was flying to begin training camp as a scout for the Los Angeles Kings when his plane struck one of the World Trade Center Towers. The inaugural "Ace's Got Skills" program launched in New York City in 2004 in memory of his passing. The majority of registration fees will go to the Ace Bailey Children's Foundation.
